Separators, decanters and centrifuges
Centrifuges are also widely used in the fields of biotechnology, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. They are employed, for instance, in the production of technical alcohol and ethanol, the removal of water from mash, the processing of fermentation raw materials (e.g. molasses) and the treatment of fermentation products (e.g. algae, baking yeast and feed yeast). Separators, decanters and centrifuges may be also utilized in the manufacture of arabic gum, vaccinations, insulin, enzymes, essential oils, fragrances and aromas as well as vitamins to name but a few applications.
