This separator is equipped with a self-cleaning disc-type bowl which can be opened and closed by means of a hydraulically operated piston.
The product is fed in through a closed line system which contains a flowmeter to monitor the rate of feed.
The whey is pumped off at a pressure of app. 5 bar. A hand regulating valve with pressure gauge has been installed so that the dicharge pressure can be adjusted.
The cheese concentrate is discharged under gravity.
