Separators for breweries
Hot wort clarification
The hot wort created during boiling may be separated with the help of self-cleaning disc separators. The benefit here is that operation is continuous and fully automatic.
Cloudy wort clarification
Self-emptying disc separators usefully supplement the process of clarifying hot wort in whirlpools as they permit partial flows to be continuously and fully automatically separated and removed from the bottom section.
Cold wort clarification
Self-cleaning disc separators may also be used to separate colloidal protein particles (cooling trub) from the cold wort.
Green beer clarification
The process of moving defined quantities of yeast cells from the fermentation tank to the storage tank may also be facilitated by the installation of a self-cleaning disc separator between these two tanks.
Beer clarification
The process of moving defined quantities of yeast cells from the fermentation tank to the storage tank may also be facilitated by the installation of a self-cleaning disc separator between these two tanks.
Wheat beer clarification
An event amount of cloudiness is in particular required in the production of wheat beer. Optimum results may be achieved with suitable separators in conjunction with special valve technology.
Clarification of cleaning liquids
Self-cleaning disc separators may also be used to extend the life of the cleaning fluids used to wash bottles, which may help minimize ever-increasing disposal costs. Such separators may be used to remove very fine solids and label residues (upstream installation of rotating brush filters) from the cleaning fluids.
