The GEA Westfalia Separator CA 450-04-10 is a three-phase decanter specifically designed for demanding separation tasks. This machine is ideally suited for the continuous separation of solids from suspensions with very high solid content. It is used in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, the starch industry, fish and fat processing, the food and beverage industry, as well as in wastewater treatment plants.
Drive Type
The decanter is driven by a low-noise three-phase motor. Power is transmitted to the bowl via belts. The conveyor screw is also driven by belts and a cyclo gearbox. The pulleys are interchangeable to generate different speed differentials. The main bearings of the bowl, the bearings of the conveyor screw, and the cyclo gearbox are lubricated with grease. The drive motor is compactly installed below the bowl between the feet and is vibration-damped.

In this model, the discharge of liquids is pressureless for both phases, enabling efficient and gentle processing of the materials.
Bowl Design
During concentration, the light liquid phase is separated from the heavy liquid phase. Additionally, solids can be discharged.
